Food Supplement Enzymes
These are enzymes that are used in direct ingestion applications. They are often components of tablets marketed as digestive aids. Some are used as single ingredient components, such as Lactase, Bromelain, or Papain.

PROTEASES

ENZECO® PURIFIED PAPAIN
Derived from papaya. Available in concentrations denoted in Milk Clot units (MCU/mg), Tyrosine units (TU/mg), Food Chemicals Codex units, (FCC/mg), the FCC method uses the new "H" standard. (from 2000 to 50,000 FCC units/mg. available).

ENZECO® BROMELAIN
Derived from pineapple. Standardized on Milk Clot Units (MCU/mg), Casein Digestion Units (CDU/mg), Bromelain Tyrosine Units (BTU/ gram), or Gelatin Digestion Units (GDU/gram) from 100 to 3000+ GDU/gram available.

ENZECO® FUNGAL PROTEASE CONCENTRATE
A fungal enzyme preparation derived from A. oryzae. Standardized on the HUT method. Maximum activity of 500,000 HUT/g available.

ENZECO® FUNGAL PROTEASE 400
A fungal enzyme preparation derived from A. oryzae.
The enzyme contains proteases that show optimums in the range of 4 - 6 pH and another optimum at 8 - 10 pH. The activity is 400,000 HUT/gram.

ENZECO® FUNGAL PROTEASE 100
A fungal enzyme preparation derived from A. oryzae. The enzyme contains proteases that show optimums in the range of 6 - 8 pH and contains the highest level of aminopeptidase activity.

ENZECO® FUNGAL ACID PROTEASE
Derived from A. niger, this protease has a pH optimum of 2.5 - 3.5. The temperature optimum is similar to A. oryzae proteases. Its low pH optimum has proven useful in protein hydrolysis as a kosher alternate to pepsin.

ENZECO® TRYPSIN/CHYMOTRYPSIN
Bovine and Porcine sources available in a variety of ratios of Trypsin:Chymotrypsin

CARBOHYDRASES

ENZECO® FUNGAL AMYLASE
From Aspergillus oryzae. Activity available up to 125,000 SKB U/g.

ENZECO® FUNGAL LACTASE
Derived from Aspergillus oryzae, hydrolyzes lactose into glucose and galactose. 100,000 FCC LU/gram activity.

ENZECO® LACTASE NL
Derived from Kluyveromyces - liquid minimum 2300 YLU/G.

ENZECO® PECTINASE
This is a multi-component pectin degrading enzyme. Derived from Aspergillus niger.

LIPASES

ENZECO® MICROBIAL LIPASE CONCENTRATE
A fungal preparation derived from Aspergillus niger. Kosher certified upon request.

ENZECO® MICROBIAL LIPASE RO20
An enzyme preparation derived from R. oryzae and used in supplements to hydrolyze fats and oils. It has a temperature optimum of 35 to 40 degrees C.

CELLULASES/HEMICELLULASES

ENZECO® CELLULASE FG
Derived from Aspergillus niger. High in activity on a broad range of cellulose and hemicellulose forms.

ENZECO® CELLULASE CEP
A fungal cellulase preparation high in activity on cellulose and glucans. Maximum activity of 100,000 ECU/g. Contains significant levels of glucan and xylan hydrolyzinging enzymes

ENZECO® XYLANASE S CONCENTRATE
A fungal preparation high in chemically activity as measured against xylan. Also contains moderate amounts of cellulase. Available in concentrations up to 3 million units per gram.

ENZECO® HEMICELLULASE CONCENTRATE
Derived from A. niger. Standardized on its hemicellulase activity. Contains significant amounts of hemicellulase, mannanase, guarase, xylanase. Also contains some cellulase, and betaglucanase

OTHER ENZYMES

ENZOPHARM®, ENZOPHARM® PLUS
Fungal preparations standardized to contain high amylase and protease activity with major or minor amounts of many other side activities present, depending on the version selected.

ENZECO® LYSOZYME CHLORIDE
Derived from egg whites. Available as a liquid, a powder, or lyophilized crystalline form.

ENZECO® INVERTASE
A yeast derived enzyme which inverts sucrose to form glucose and fructose. Available as a powder or a liquid. Invertase is sometimes referred to as sucrase.
